Artist Statement

After creating my mood boards, I was unsure of which asset of myself to use as the inspiration behind my personal logo. Once I started making some sketches based off of each board, I found that the sketch based off of my 'nature' mood board pulled elements from a few of the boards. The sketch that I ended up turning into my final logo, was originally based off of nature, but also contains the light element, as well as adventure.  The dominant shape resembles the commonly recognized sun emblem. This is not only a major element of nature, but also a really important part of who I am which draws in the aspect of light. The mountains drawn in represent not only nature, but also symbolize sense of adventure since hiking is one of my favorite ways to embark on an adventure. The wave is drawn in partner with the mountains to represent how I split my life between Florida and New York and have to find ways to enjoy these parts of myself in such different locations. I kept the design simple and clean because that is where my mind goes when I think of a successful logo. It also is a further representation of me because when it comes to decorating or fashion, I tend to stick to simple and clean looks. Because of this. preference, I almost prefer the logo in black and white. However, my next favorite color scheme would be the bright yellow sun with the blue wave and dark green mountains.
