First Impression Post

    The first class of Media Design left me feeling a bit nervous about the content we will cover in the course which is all uncharted territory for me. I have never considered myself a particularly creative person or gifted artist, but when it comes down to it I know I can rise to the occasion and come up with something. It seems as though the class may feel pretty overwhelming at first, but I think that once we become familiarized with the software and the dialect surrounding it, the course will flow better. 

    My name is Mia Hilton and I am a transfer student coming in as a sophomore from the University of South Florida. I'm from upstate New York, but I thrive in a warm and sunny environment which is why Tampa is my favorite place to be. I am a pretty social person who loves communicating and working with others which is one of the reasons that I am a public relations and advertising major. I like to think of myself as a compassionate person and I love helping other people and animals. 

    By being in this class, I expect to tap into my more creative side and try things that are very new to me. In today's age of media, I think that whether you are in a media design oriented career or not, it is very useful to have understanding of the field which is what i'm hoping to pick up from this course. I expect to become more confident throughout the semester in my ability to use online software to create content.
